On-site Yoga, Pilates & Fitness Classes

Preventacare's on-site yoga, pilates, and fitness classes help employees manage the physical and mental stresses of work, and result in a increased levels of energy and productivity in your workplace.

Our classes are designed to cater to the specific needs and abilities of your employees. Classes are taught by certified, experienced, and insured teachers. Class time options include morning, lunch time, and after work.

Personal Training

A personal trainer can serve a number of roles in an employee's life: motivator, educator, role model, coach, or confidence builder. Our trainers will design a program specific to their needs and goals and will regularly revisit these goals to ensure they are on the right track.

On-Site Treatment

When injuries occur, early intervention is essential to getting employees back to work quickly. On-site treatment clinics are staffed by experienced, licensed, and insured health professionals. Clinics require a minimum amount of space and are generally set up at no cost to the employer.

Our Professionals Utilize:

Active Release Technique (ART)®

  • Active Release Technique® is a patented state of the art soft tissue therapy that treats disorders of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.
  • ART® is particularly effective in treating upper extremity overuse disorders like carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, and rotator cuff strain. A 2005 report on over 223 carpal tunnel cases found a 96.4% success rate with ART treatment.

Chiropractic Manipulation & Mobilization

  • Chiropractic manipulation and mobilization have been recognized as an effective treatment of low back pain, neck pain, and other spinal disorders.
  • Ontario Workplace and Insurance Board (WSIB) studies from 2001 and 2004 state that manipulation is effective for both acute and chronic low back pain. Workers experienced faster return to work times and high satisfaction levels with chiropractic care.

Injury & Job Specific Exercise Therapy

  • Injured employees are provided with an individualized rehabilitation program incorporating both stretching and strengthening.
  • A customized handout is provided detailing the specific recommended exercises.
  • Exercises are simple, low-tech, and can generally be performed in the workplace.
